URI LEVINSON

"SUPER" was a group exhibition held at the iconic "Super Zol Alon" supermarket in Tel Aviv's Shapira neighborhood. The project emerged as an artistic response to social distancing during the COVID-19 crisis, reimagining the supermarket as an alternative exhibition space where art could engage with audiences despite pandemic restrictions. Uri Levinson participated alongside artists Orit Adar Bechar, Eili Levy, Hagar Mittelpunkt, Noy Haimovich, Tamir Erlich, Omer Shizaf, Keren Geller, and Riki Elkaim. The works explored relationships between the artists and the supermarket environment, treating the space as a protected cultural realm where art could exist independently from external threats. This exhibition was the first collective action by the group based at the "Max – Crafts and Machines" laboratory at the Israeli Center for Digital Art in Holon.
